CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) tests
All HS&E tests consist of 50 multiple choice questions. There are 50 core knowledge-based questions to check knowledge of health, safety, environmentally safe working practices and sustainability. For specialist tests, the 50 multiple choice knowledge questions consist of 44 core questions and six questions on the specific specialism (such as supervisory, tunnelling etc.). HS&E test for Managers and Professionals (MAP) consists of 50 core questions, including on the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, demolition, plumbing or gas and highway works. The time allowed for each test is 45 minutes.
