The Pearson BTEC Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment is for learners who work in or who want to work in construction. It gives learners the opportunity to:

● develop introductory knowledge related to health and safety in the construction industry.

● develop introductory skills in health and safety in the construction industry.

● learn about health and safety issues related to different occupations in the construction industry.

achieve a nationally recognized Level 1 qualification.

● develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning.

Since 1 July 2014, this qualification is a mandatory requirement for all new laborer who want to hold a CSCS green card.

This course allows you to apply for the CITB test and apply for the CSCS green card.

Learners must also pass the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment test within two years of applying for a new card.

*CSCS is an online course but the learner will need to come into the office one day to check and sign of their work. The learner will need to contact the office to arrange when they will come in*.
